To get a better knowledge of Mary on a donkey...we visited one!
Reading the Christmas story every day now, the little man loves it!
Love being able to make stories come alive!
Silas said the donkey was ever so soft to pet.
And then the donkey let out a yodel that Silas has been trying to replicate ever since.

I love it! We went to "Journey to Bethlehem" This year and they got to pet donkeys and a camel...and about got the pants scared off of them by the aggressive peddlers in the marketplace and the centurions on horseback who made them go to the tax collectors! Really helped them to understand what Mary and Joseph went through. Though none of the donkeys yodeled.....
