Killdeer, spunky little birds that they are...they are not so smart on where they build their nest.

 Just yards away from where the children are playing on the monkey bars and swings they built their nest on the ground. What great parents they are though. They defend their nest bravely, and sing the prettiest little chirps.

 After watching and running and really wanting to touch and play with them, the little man restrained himself and sat down to sketch the little eggs instead.
